The ecosystem as a whole seems to be doing great. Both of the parts (the terrestrial and aquatic part) present great things such as living shrimps and snails, and the plants have grown more and have stayed green (most of them). We did noticed that one of the plants died because it is brownish and it has fell.
We started off with 3 shrimps and 3 snails, these are doing great because the all of them are a live and moving with great energy. Two of the shrimps were attached to the string and were there for most of the time. They are alive though, because they would move a little every now and then. Daphnia was a little hard to notice at the beginning, but after paying close attention we saw that there are still a few of them swimming still. Because we were still able to see daphnia and notice that the water is clear, we believe that daphnia is still doing its “function.”
For the terrestrial part, we were able to see that the green bean plant grew to the top of the bottle. Many of the plants actually have plenty of stems that are visible at the bottom (meaning towards the cap). We also saw some stems barely sprouting and we think they might be broccoli stems.
The condensation was also another things that we thought was affected by the sun. We saw that only have of the side had condensation around the bottle, and the other half didn’t. We started thinking about the position of how we had left the bottle and we concluded that the side that was facing the sun had the most condensation than the other side.
The white thing that we thought was probably fungus we found out that it was the cover (the shell) of the green bean seed.
